BOX CRICKET:
DESCRIPTION: Prepare yourself for an exhilarating Box Match event! Box cricket is a fast-paced, small-scale variation of cricket, ideal for cramped areas. It offers a casual, quick-paced experience that's perfect for smaller gatherings and fewer participants. With fewer players per team compared to traditional cricket, it's more accessible to casual players. Matches typically use tennis balls instead of cricket balls, and rules may be adjusted to suit the available space. Every participant gets a chance to bat and bowl, with overs typically limited to encourage maximum participation.
Rules of Competition:
- Team Size: Each team should comprise only 6 players.
- Ball Type: The match will be played with a tennis ball; no other type of ball is allowed.
- Match Duration: The match will consist of only 4 overs per side.
- Wicket-taking: To take a wicket on a catch, it must be a single-handed catch; a double-handed catch will not be counted as catching a wicket.
- Scoring: Only boundaries will count as runs.
- Bowling Style: Bowling should be underarm and within the instructed speed. If a player receives a warning for their bowling action and continues with similar behavior, they will not be allowed to bowl again.
- Wicketkeeper: The wicketkeeper can be changed if a team member wishes to do so.
- Tiebreaker: In the event of a tie, only one super over will be conducted. If the match remains tied after the super over, the winner will be decided by a coin toss.
